Beth Van Hoesen was born in 1926 in Boise, Idaho. She received an undergraduate degree from Stanford University, and studied further at the California School of Fine Arts (now the San Francisco Art Institute), the Ecole de Beaux Arts de Fontainebleau, and in Paris and Mexico. Beth has had numerous exhibitions in the United States and is represented in major collections in the U.S. and abroad. Her work has been the subject of several books including Works On Paper, A Collection of Wonderful Things, and Wonderful Things.
