Anita Toney The most dominant feature of Anita Toney's etchings is the rich diversity of color that is achieved through the use of the multiple plate color etching process. The larger work, mostly diptychs and triptychs, juxtaposes images inspired by her surroundings - natural and manmade. Other etchings grouped in series chronicle her travels locally and abroad. With colorful detail, she focuses on recreating a certain mood or moment both in and out of her home. Anita Toney has been extremely successful in appealing to collectors of fine etchings. Not only is she an accomplished, well-collected artist, her credentials include over 25 years of teaching printmaking at the Fort Mason Campus of City College of San Francisco.
