Gail Packer was a well known Sonoma County artist. She quietly passed away in her sleep on Sunday April 6th, 2008. She is greatly missed by all of us.

The very limited quantity of her color aquatint etchings she created were inspired by a combination of interests in medieval and decorative, ancient civilizations and the country environment in which she lived. The image and color of each etching was produced from running multiple copper plates through the printing press. She crated etchings of the Normandy region of France where Claude Monet lived and worked; the wine country of Norther California; and a series of months of the year. Gail used fine detail to illustrate the subject matter, incorporating both the painting concept and intaglio printing. Gail Packer was a nationally recognized artist and her etchings are a part of many private and corporate collections.
Her final print was of Rocky Point in Big Sur.

Special note.****There are only one or two pieces left of any of her prints. 3/2009

All of Gail's etchings are framed in hand painted folk art frames done by artist Hildy Henry
